About SOLIDARITY
SOLIDARITY is a non-profit organization based in Cameroon, committed to the education and well-being of vulnerable children. We act concretely to remove the obstacles that hinder their academic success: distribution of school supplies, educational support, cultural and sports activities, awareness actions and advocacy for the protection of children's rights. Our conviction is simple: every child deserves a fair chance to succeed. Thanks to the solidarity of our members, partners and donors, we build a lasting impact in service of children and their future.
Our founder's story
This project was divinely inspired to me. Hebrews 13: 1-2 — Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
I come from a family of 5, the youngest and unfortunately fatherless since the age of 14. From my adolescence until I was 24, I had the grace of being supported by close family friends. School, basic needs, etc… I was not in an orphanage but I needed this support.
With hindsight, I later measured how lucky I was to have such good people around me. So I decided to do the same.
As soon as I got my first job, I started helping children. It started with 2, then 52 and today hundreds of children in need receive school kits every year. This is possible thanks to the many donations from my friends, family and acquaintances.
